The Ultimate Trader Joe’s Vegan Shopping List

Trader Joe’s has been my go-to store for the past 8 years!

I remember being so excited when Aaron and I first moved to Ann Arbor, that we would be so close to one! I love TJ’s because of their low price points, vegan-friendly options and one-stop shopping experience.

They also come out with some pretty fun products every couple of weeks, which keeps things exciting!

Produce

Veggies:

  • Romaine lettuce
  • Spinach or chopped kale
  • Arugula
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Baby broccoli
  • Shaved brussel sprouts
  • Haricot verts
  • Sliced crimini mushrooms
  • Butternut squash zig-zags (try roasting these with avocado oil, cinnamon, turmeric, s+p!)
  • Bell peppers

  • High protein tofu (super firm)
  • 3 grain tempeh
  • Garlic hummus

  • Lentil soup with ancient grains (good for on-the-go)
  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Unsweetened soy milk
  • GT’s kombucha
  • Earth balance butter
  • Jumbo cinnamon rolls (love buying these accidentally vegan rolls for special occasions like holidays!)

Freezer

  • Cauliflower gnocchi (try sautéing with pesto)
  • Thai vegetable gyoza (I don’t buy this super often, but they’re so good!)
  • Riced cauliflower (I love adding this to my smoothies to thicken them)
  • Riced cauliflower stir fry
  • Frozen edamame
  • Frozen fruit
    • Cherries (so yummy to snack on!)
    • Blueberries
    • Mango

Pantry

Bread, Grains, Pasta + Rice:

  • Ezekiel sprouted grain bread
  • Ezekiel sprouted grain tortillas
  • Sourdough bread
  • Jasmine rice
  • Brown rice
  • Quinoa
  • Brown rice & quinoa fusilli pasta

Canned:

  • Diced and no salt added tomatoes
  • Diced and fire-roasted tomatoes
  • Full-fat coconut milk

  • GoMacro bars (the peanut butter chocolate chip is my favorite)
  • The Dark Chocolate Lovers chocolate bar
  • Popcorn kernels
  • Roasted plantain chips
  • Scandinavian swimmers (one of Aaron’s favorites, I enjoy these from time-to-time too!)

Misc.

  • Spindrift sparking water
  • Fresh flowers (I wait all year for peony season!)
  • Candles (definitely my vice, because candles aren’t the most non-toxic product…but they just smell so good! Especially the Mango Tangerine scent – it smells like an Anthropologie blend!)
