My Boston Bachelorette + Bridal Shower
My Boston bachelorette and bridal shower weekend was everything and more I could’ve hoped for! It was a whirlwind weekend that included a red eye flight from LA to Boston Thursday night into Friday morning and a super late flight back to LA Sunday night. But, it was all worth it!
Here’s a little recap of how my Boston bachelorette and bridal shower went down!
Friday 4.12.19
Friday morning was dedicated to all the wedding-related appointments. I finally was able to see my dress and try it on in person! Everything thankfully looked perfect at the alterations appointment!
After the alterations, we drove down to Newport (driving over the bridge made me giddy to think that we’d be getting married in just 2 months!) We had some time before my hair and makeup trial so we stopped for lunch at a vegan cafe called Root. If you’re ever in the area, grab the East Bowl. It was SO GOOD.
Then, it was time for my hair + makeup trial with Allison Barbera Beauty! I knew I wanted pretty natural looking makeup + to wear my hair down and curled. I’m not the type of personal to wear heavy makeup, so I wanted to look like myself for the wedding, only slightly more elevated. (Btw, I decided later to go even lighter on the makeup and also cut my extensions shorter so it would feel more “me” – but that’s the beauty of a trial!)
After the trial, my mom and I ventured back into Boston! She dropped me off at the cutest little Airbnb my bridesmaids rented for the night in Cambridge! My bridesmaids and I all went out for dinner, relaxed in our pjs + chatted in the living room and then finally crashed (I was exhausted after a long day – remember I didn’t sleep on the red eye flight!).
Saturday 4.13.19
Saturday morning was the “official” start to my bachelorette! We all had brunch at the most delicious vegan + vegetarian restaurant in Watertown called Red Lentil. I got the Benedict Florentine with tofu + a side of green juice!
Post-brunch, we arrived at Corbu Salon + Spa for a little R&R. Since I don’t drink, this spa day was everything and more!
I was treated to the most relaxing 60 minute massage and then a hydrafacial! The best part was simply hanging out with my girls + the moms! (The comfy robes were also a nice touch!)
Sunday 4.14.19
My bridal shower was hosted at the cutest restaurant in Northeast Connecticut called Anya! We had a delicious brunch paired with the prettiest drinks, a couple of cute bridal games + the most lovely time seeing all the women I love in one place! It was such a special day!
I adored this maxi dress from Reformation it was so flowy, romantic and flattering (here’s the link!)!
Even though it was a quick weekend back East, I really enjoyed the time spent with my family + friends and appreciated all the time + effort it took my bridesmaids to throw the most amazing bachelorette and bridal shower!
If you’re married, I want to hear what you did for your bachelorette! (and if you’re not, what would you like to do?!)
