My Simple, Non-Toxic PM Skincare Routine
I don’t know about you, but I have to confess that I love hearing about other people’s skincare routines!
What new products they’re using, how they’re using it and how it improves their skin. It’s all so fascinating!
In case you’re anything like me, I thought that I’d share my nighttime skincare routine.
As with anything, I keep it sweet + simple!
For an even simpler routine, be sure to read about the only 3 skincare products you really need!
Step 1: Cleanse
The first step should always be your cleanser! It’s so important to get rid of all the dirt and grime that settles on your skin throughout the day.
Always, always, always remove your makeup! In college + my early 20’s, I used to sleep in my makeup because I was too lazy to take it off at night.
Who else can related to the dirty pillowcases?! Now, I’d never be caught doing that!
Step 2: Tone
Using a toner will help get rid of stubborn makeup and other remnants. Tones also help tighten pores, which will give you fresh + clean skin!
I honestly love the feeling of using a toner on my face. Spray or dab the toner on a reusable cotton round and wipe all over your face, neck and decollate.
Step 3: Face Mask/Exfoliate
There are so many different types of masks on the market that can do anything from add hydration, absorb oil or purify your skin.
I personally always go back to this Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask! It’s super affordable and makes my skin feel so much cleaner!
Exfoliating helps to get rid of the dead skin cells that are on the surface so you’re left with smoother + brighter skin!
Step 4: Moisturize
The final step in my nighttime routine is to replenish and moisturize my skin! My skin has been loving this Cocokind chia facial oil.
Although it’s an oil, it won’t cause your face to break out or leave you greasy! The lightweight oil gives my skin a nice dewy glow.
I sometimes also follow up with some lymphatic drainage using my rose quartz gua sha tool. The little massage before bed feels amazing and releases muscle tension in your face. I highly recommend!
